So with grape harvest in Virginia wrapping up, there are many winery open houses and festivals to help you celebrate the fact that October is Virginia Wine Month.

A small plug to the family winery right here in Richmond (well Midlothian is close enough) Woodland Vineyard. We are having a open house on Saturday October 13th from 12:00 to 5:00. We attended Woodland's open house and it was outstanding. It was well organized and the wines were just delicious (we bought several). Loved the wine ice cream (I had my doubts, but it was delicious). We had a wonderful time. Beautiful location, too.
